      Since graduating from UM's Master of Science in Sustainable Business program, Nick Berman has spent the past three years as Director of Operations at Geared for Green. There, he is responsible for implementing circular economy strategies for clients of all sizes, optimizing waste collection, and creating new products from recycled material.

      Meet with Julie Topf! Julie graduated from UM in 2021 with majors in Ecosystem Science and Policy and Spanish, and minors in Climate Science and Policy and Geography. She is now the Climate & Energy Program Coordinator at the UN Sustainable Development Solutions Network.

      Meet Alex Moreira. Alex graduated in 2019 from the Miami Herbert Business School's first cohort of the Master of Science in Sustainable Business. Alex operates in the intersection of sustainability and finance. His areas of expertise include sustainable business, advisory, project origination, climate change, ESG, impact investing, banking, carbon tax, financial services, private equity, credit risk management, and training and development.

      Zac Cosner graduated from the U with a triple major in Biology; Ecosystem, Science & Policy, and History. Zac has worked as chief associate with an environmental policy and litigation consulting firm which he helped to found while a student of UM, where he worked primarily on state and federal litigation, as the sustainability and grants administrator at City of South Miami. He's now the Climate and Clean Energy Advocacy Coordinator for the Florida Conservation Voters Association. Join us and learn more about his trajectory. Recording

      In 2015, Raul Velarde graduated from the University of Miami with a B.S. in Environmental Engineering and an M.S. in Civil Engineering, concentrating in Sustainable Design and Construction. Raul is now the Project Solution Development and Sustainability Manager for Turner Construction, South Florida.
