Spring 2018

Even as they prepared for final exams & made plans for the summer, University of Miami students helped our local community.

During spring move-out, 4,000+ resident students donated 38.5 tons of goods to Goodwill Industries International, Inc. - an increase of 7,570 pounds compared to last year's total! They also donated 568 pounds of food to Feeding South Florida the equivalent of nearly 472 meals!

Are you a freshman, transfer student or resident on campus?
Then check out this 3 minute video on all the great green features our beautiful campus offers.
After viewing the video, please take this SHORT QUIZ which will teach you how to play your part at keeping our campus eco-friendly.

A big THANK YOU goes to all of our students for giving back to our community and making our operations greener every year!

This year, during our move out:
- Goodwill collected a total of 67,120 lbs. in donations, 8, 089 lbs. more than last year.
- Feeding South Florida was also able to collect 283 pounds of packaged food, which helped provide nearly 236 meals.
“Thanks to the support of community partners like you, we are able to provide these meals to serve the more than 785,000 food insecure individuals in our community.” Feeding South Florida
