ECO Agency is hosting a sustainable teaching kitchen in collaboration with UM Dining at the Centennial Dining Hall. Attendees will learn how to make a sustainable dish taught by a dining hall chef! Snacks and refreshments will be served.
The University has been recognized as a Tree Campus USA by the nationally renown organization Arbor Day Foundation for the tenth consecutive year! The program will start on April 18 at 5 pm with a tour of edible trees in the Arboretum guided by Dr. Feeley. At 6 pm, at the Arboretum Stone Circle, don't miss the free concert from Frost School of Music artist Danny Rein and alum Keith Johns. Finger food will be served. Please join us for the Lowe’s Earth Day Program: Artists and Scientists in Dialogue for a Sustainable Future. This program is a true academic collaboration centering on the pressing ecological issues addressed in the exhibition on view, Mark Dion and Alexis Rockman Journey to Nature's Underworld. The program features a panel discussion between scientists from UM’s Abess Center for Ecosystem Science and Policy and Miami-based eco-critical artists, followed by a performance by dancers from UM’s Frost School of Music Department of Vocal Performance Dance Program.
The ’Canes Community Food Pantry on campus supplies students who have food insecurity with meals and nutrition to continue to excel in their studies at the University of Miami! Founded in 2021, this food pantry serves students, and it needs our support!
