    📦 Moving Out This Semester?📦

    Donate your lightly used appliances and dorm supplies to the Canes Resale Program (mini-fridges, microwaves, TVs, lamps, mirrors...). Instead of leaving them behind or tossing them, give those items a second life and support a greener campus initiative!

    On-Campus Residents: Don't stress about transport! 
    Sign up for a pickup appointment (LINK COMING SOON), and our dedicated team of movers
    will collect your donations right from your room on campus:

    May 5: Mahoney-Pearson 
    May 6: Eaton / Lakeside Village

    Moving out can be hectic, but this is a simple way to make a difference. Let your unused appliances benefit fellow Canes and promote sustainability on campus. Together, we can end the semester on a high note! 🍃


  • BIG ITEMS with GOODWILL

    FINAL DATES COMING SOON...
    Take your big items to the Goodwill containers (cabinets, furniture, printers, flat screens, laptop, you name it...):

    - Eaton-Lakeside Village intersection
    - Centennial Village
    - Mahoney Pearson Dining Hall
    - University Village Parking lot

  • PACKAGED FOOD with the CANES FOOD PANTRY

    Take your canned and packaged food  from April 28 to May 8 to the CANES FOOD PANTRY bins located in:

    - The 2 Dining Halls

    Follow these simple requirements:

  • SINGLE STREAM RECYCLING

    Don't throw your bag of recyclables in the recycling chute or in the green bins.
    Make sure you RECYCLE RIGHT!

  • ELECTRONIC WASTE

    Electronic Waste Recycling available at the UM Tech Store in the E Scrap Console. 
    For hours of operations, click here.

  • BATTERY RECYCLING

    ECO Reps brought Battery Recycling to UM Residences. You will find the bin at each residence 's main lobby. Single use batteries only.

  • PLASTIC BAGS RECYCLING

    ECO Reps brought TREX Plastic Bags and Wraps Recycling to UM Residences. You will find the TREX bin at each residence 's main lobby. Clean loose plastic only.

  • SNEAKER IMPACT

    Used or new sneakers can be recycled in one of the Sneaker Impact bins on campus:
    - Wellness Center Lobby
    - Bookstore second left column

  • Winter break move out

    Dear Residents,

    ECO Reps have made it easy for you to make your move out eco-friendly and reduce as much waste as possible! They have set up Zero Waste stations at Eaton Lobby and UV Mailing room. Here is what you can drop there:

    • 1 bin for small appliances donations (for anything bigger than a 32” TV screen, please take it to the Goodwill trailer located in the Miami Dade Metro Rail parking lot: https://maps.app.goo.gl/X5dX92N5BaUSRjKN8)
    • 1 bin for canned and packaged food donations
    • 1 bin for gently used clothing and shoes donations
    • 1 bin for plastic bag recycling
    • 1 bin for alkaline batteries recycling

    Please drop off any of the mentioned materials in the proper bins. The station will be up until December 12th.
